How to get Photographers for your events

Photographers are people who have the skill to capture a special moment of time and save it for future Memories.

Having an event without a Photographer is like watching a movie ten it is deleted from all over so you can’t refer to it back again.

What makes Photography a strange invention is that its primary raw materials are Light and Time.” – John Berger.

There are many ways you can get a photographer, like browsing through the internet… But getting a verified photographer who is genuine … you have to follow some few steps.one of them is using Browncord. As Browncord reviews and verifies all Photographers before they are listed on the platform.

As it is usually said photography is not just taking photos, or a photographer is not just anyone with a Camera and lens. “Having a good Camera is a plus to a Photographer not an essential.”

  • Photography is about creativity, using creativity to capture a moment. Where creativity comes with having the know how (knowledge), experience and desire for photography.
  • Photography is about time… If one can’t manage time well then, they can’t be as good photographers. As what happens if the event starts late or maybe there were delays.
  • Photography is about interacting with people. Imagine having a photographer who is too much professional in a wedding, he/she is not a people’s person. You as the Event owner will not even enjoy the event. That’s why a Photographer have to be someone who is social and can organize people in case of a group photo.

Photographers are as well grouped depending on the photography they take i.e.

  • Nature photography,
  • wedding photography,
  • landscape photography,
  • Fashion Photography
  • Travel photography,
  • Architectural Photography,
  • Street Photography,
  • Fine art Photography,
  • Sport photography
  • Aerial Photography,
  • Underwater Photography,

And all have different Skill set...

If a photo can’t communicate with you when you see it first then the photography is not good.”

Like Sally Mann once said … “Photographs open doors into the past, but they also allow look into the future.

Thus, all photographs have to communicate to the one viewing them.

For photographers ...

  • Never use a camera when on automatic setup as this can cost you a lot, this is mostly used by inexperienced photographers. Example when you take photography along a bright window when the camera is set to Auto or (P-mode). The camera captures what was not expected by the photographer.
  • Don’t over edit your photos as this reduces the quality of the photo or image.
